Monitoring thatgoes beyond alerting.

Track cron jobs, websites, APIs, SSL certificates and DNS, get alerts where your team works, and keep an incident timeline. Route incidents to the right team and trigger approved workflows.

No credit card required
  1. Step 1 of 4, Detect: A nightly job fails at 02:07 and an issue opens.
  2. Step 2 of 4, Route: A routing rule sends it to the team that owns it.
  3. Step 3 of 4, Act: On-call opens the issue from Slack and acknowledges it.
  4. Step 4 of 4, Resolve: The rerun reports COMPLETE: resolved, with the timeline kept.

Monitor DNS records for unexpected changes. Catch misconfigurations and hijack attempts early.

Website Uptime

Check websites, APIs and TCP ports on a schedule, with assertions on the status code, body and response time. Know before your users do.

Status Page

Show your reliability to your customers.

Routing

Send alerts to exactly the right person, every time.

  1. Step 1 of 5, Alert: billing-export reports FAIL at 02:07. Its alert enters routing with the monitor's environment, group and the time.
  2. Step 2 of 5, Rules: Rules run in priority order. Each checks its conditions: environment, monitor group and a schedule in your timezone. If no rule matches, the monitor's own notification list is alerted. Staging jobs does not match: its environment is staging. Payments, office hours does not match: 02:07 is outside 09:00-18:00.
  3. Step 3 of 5, Match: "Payments, out of hours" matches: production, the Payments group, and 02:07 is inside 18:00-09:00.
  4. Step 4 of 5, List: The rule's target is the Payments on-call notification list.
  5. Step 5 of 5, Deliver: Payments on-call posts to Slack #payments-alerts and triggers a PagerDuty incident.

Action

Go beyond alerting. Take the next step automatically.

When a job fails at night

  1. Step 1 of 5, Issue: billing-export reports FAIL at 02:07, so an issue opens with a timeline.
  2. Step 2 of 5, Hold: An automation rule starts an N8N run for your recovery workflow and holds it for approval.
  3. Step 3 of 5, Retry: Once approved, the first attempt gets a 503, so the run retries with backoff and gets 200 OK.
  4. Step 4 of 5, Status page: A STATUS_PAGE_UPDATE action adds an update to the incident on your status page.
  5. Step 5 of 5, Resolved: The rerun reports COMPLETE and the issue resolves on its own. Every run keeps an audit trail.

Incidents open and close themselves

A failed check or a missed job opens an issue with a timeline. It resolves on its own when the monitor recovers.

Your status page follows along

Incidents from your monitors show up on your public status page and clear when they resolve.

Run a workflow when an alert fires

Send a signed webhook to your own service, or start an n8n workflow with the alert details.

Hold runs for approval

A rule can hold each run until it is approved, and every run keeps an audit trail of who approved it and what happened.

Raise a ticket, post an update

Raise a FastMonitor support ticket with the incident details, or add an update to the incident on your status page.

AI

A second pair of eyes on every incident.

Ask from your coding assistant

Connect Claude Code, Codex or Hermes to FastMonitor's MCP endpoint with a scoped token. It reads your monitors and issues, and can acknowledge an issue.

  1. Step 1 of 4, Ask: In your coding assistant: "Why did billing-export fail last night?".
  2. Step 2 of 4, Issues: The assistant calls list_open_issues and finds the open billing-export issue.
  3. Step 3 of 4, Timeline: get_issue_summary and get_monitor_summary return the issue's recent updates and the monitor's last run and state.
  4. Step 4 of 4, Answer: It answers from those results only: what failed, when, and who was alerted, then suggests a next step.

Diagnose an incident in one click

On any open issue, generate a short summary of what went wrong, the likely causes and suggested next steps.

Shows what it looked at

Every diagnosis lists the check results, issue and monitor it was based on, and stays on the issue for your team.

Secrets stay out

Before anything reaches the AI provider, URLs are cut down to the host and keys, headers, bodies and recipients are removed.

Routing rules are on the Enterprise plan, and workflow automation, approvals and status-page updates on the Enterprise plan. There is no automation screen in the dashboard yet: our team sets up your automation rules and handles run approvals with you, on request.

vs Oh Dear

Full routing and action control

FastMonitor routes alerts by tag, severity, environment and schedule, opens an issue, and runs approved automation such as an n8n workflow or a status-page update. Oh Dear alerts you and stops there.

vs Cronitor

No seat tax. Better orchestration.

FastMonitor does not charge per seat: invite your whole team to your organization on any plan. You also get routing logic and workflow automation that Cronitor's Business tier does not offer.

vs Better Stack

Focused, fast, and action-first.

FastMonitor is purpose-built for detection, routing, and action. You get incident workflows, automation, and approval gates without buying a full observability platform.
