Terms of Service
The terms for using FastMonitor: accounts, plans, fees, cancellation, acceptable use, liability and your data.
Version 0.1 (draft) · Draft dated
Draft, pending legal review. These terms describe the service as it ships today; they are being reviewed by a lawyer before they take effect.

By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms. If you accept them for a business, you confirm that you are allowed to bind that business, and “you” means the business.
2. Who may use FastMonitor
FastMonitor is for business and professional use only. You must be 18 or over to create an account.
3. Your account
- Verify your email address before you create monitors.
- Keep your password and sign-in methods safe. Two-factor sign-in is available and we recommend it.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account, including what the team members you invite do.
4. The service
FastMonitor provides, as each plan includes:
- checks of websites and APIs (HTTP, with assertions), TCP ports, DNS records, SSL certificates, domain expiry and broken links;
- cron job and background job monitoring through telemetry you send us;
- alerts through the channels your plan includes;
- issues that open and resolve automatically, and status pages;
- on the Enterprise plan, alert routing rules, workflow automation set up with our team, and AI diagnosis;
- a remote MCP endpoint for coding agents.
Monitoring is provided on a best-effort basis from a single location. There is no service level agreement unless we agree one with you in writing.
5. Plans and limits
Plans and their limits are on the pricing page and the plan comparison. Limits are enforced: an action over your plan's limit is refused (402 PLAN_LIMIT_EXCEEDED).
If you move to a smaller plan, you cannot create anything that would go over the new limits, and monitoring history older than the new plan's retention period is deleted.
6. Fees and payment
- Prices are on the pricing page and are shown in GBP.
- Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe, and renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled.
- Promotion codes may apply at checkout.
7. Cancellation and refunds
- You can cancel at any time under Billing, then Manage subscription (the Stripe billing portal).
- Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. Fees already paid are not refunded, including for part periods, except where the law requires a refund.
- Cancel any paid subscription before you delete your account.
8. Acceptable use
- Only monitor systems you own or are authorised to monitor.
- Do not use checks, crawls, webhooks or automations to attack, load-test or scan anyone else's systems.
- Do not try to get round plan limits, and keep within the rate limits.
- Do not put special-category personal data (such as health data) in job metadata, logs or monitor settings.
- Do not publish unlawful content on status pages.
9. Your data
You own the data you put into FastMonitor. We process it only to run the service for you, as your processor under the Data Processing Agreement, which forms part of these terms. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data about you.
10. Third-party services
When you connect Slack, PagerDuty, webhooks, n8n or another destination, or pay through Stripe, that provider's own terms apply to its service. We are not responsible for services we do not run.
11. AI output
AI diagnoses are suggestions generated by a machine learning model. They may be wrong or incomplete. Check them before you act on them.
12. API keys, SDKs and MCP tokens
Keep API keys and MCP tokens secret and revoke any that may have been exposed. You are responsible for calls made with your keys. Our SDKs are licensed separately under the MIT licence.
13. Intellectual property and feedback
We own the service, its software and its content. These terms give you the right to use the service while your account is active. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.
14. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if you do not pay, or if the law requires it. We will tell you why unless the law prevents us.
After your account ends, we delete your data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law (such as invoices).
15. Disclaimer
The service is provided as it is and as available. Monitoring can miss or delay an alert, for example when a network or a provider fails. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that the law does not allow to be excluded or limited.
16. Limitation of liability
Our total liability to you under or in connection with these terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue or data, or losses caused by an alert that was missed or arrived late.
17. Changes to these terms
We will give you 30 days' notice by email of material changes. If you continue to use the service after the change takes effect, the new terms apply; if you do not agree, you can cancel before then.
18. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
19. General
These terms, the Data Processing Agreement and your plan are the whole agreement between us. If a part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term straight away does not waive it. You may not transfer your account without our agreement.
